Dance Teachers Toronto

As an Arthur Murray Franchise, we have over 100 years of experience in teaching ballroom dance. At our studio, you can expect the finest in ballroom dance instruction, as all of our dance teachers in Toronto are carefully selected and thoroughly trained in the exclusive Arthur Murray teaching method.

Quality Yorkville Private Dance Teachers

You have come to Arthur Murray because you believe that we can provide you with the highest quality Yorkville private dance teachers, not to dance with just one particular dance teacher. These are the reasons why all of our students regularly have exchange dance lessons with other dance teachers. We have found that a team teaching approach promises that your ballroom dancing will continue to progress at a regular pace, even if one of your Etobicoke private dance teachers is not able to be at the studio.

At Arthur Murray, you don’t have the support of just your instructor, you have the support of the entire staff. Whether it is to be that star performer or a confident social dancer, our Yorkville dance teachers are prepared to help you achieve your goals.

Toronto Dance Teachers with a Team Approach

As a student of our adult dance classes, you will have a team of Toronto dance teachers who are responsible for your progress and keeping you on track. We realize that every student has a unique blend of experiences and backgrounds along with their own style of learning. Over the years, we have learned that by working with a variety of Toronto dance teachers, you will learn at a faster and more efficient pace because you are able to get different points of view and hear things explained in different ways.

Meet Our Team

Lisa MacLaggan

Lisa believes that anyone can learn to dance if they are just shown how. “If you can walk, you can dance. No one wakes up in the morning knowing how to dance.” That’s why she loves Arthur Muarry so much. “We specialize in getting people on the road to good dancing.”

Lisa is the owner/franchisee at Arthur Murray Yorkville and Etobicoke and is the director of the Toronto market and district leader for Arthur Murray International. While she wears a lot of different hats, Lisa has never lost sight of her roots in dance or her passion for watching students develop.

Lisa has been a member of the Arthur Murray VIP club for 10 years in a row and holds numerous awards and honors. To newcomers, she has this to say, “The people you see in the studios have started with absolutely no experience. Everyone at the studio started just like you.”

Teaching, Lisa says, provides an “unbelievable feeling,” especially teaching beginners. “Sometimes people come in and say you must hate to teach beginners. That’s our favorite thing to do.”

Stephen Williams

“It’s a great feeling being able to pass onto others something you are so passionate about and it is very rewarding to see to see your students grow throughout the process. I am always telling my students to strive to be the best they can be. I truly believe anyone can be a great dancer and I am always challenging our students to push themselves to their limits.”

As the studio captain, it is his greatest achievement to see others develop and gain their own passion for dance. He particularly likes the way Arthur Murray tailors lessons to meet students’ distinct needs. “The beauty of private lessons here at Arthur Murray is that we teach at your own personal speed,” he says.

Stephen says anyone can learn to dance and the rewards are worth the effort. “Dancing is a physical and emotional release, as well as a place to meet new people, make new friends and stimulate your mind and soul.”

Nicky Bruno

Just because you don’t see Nicky on the dance floor doesn’t mean she isn’t a vibrant part of the Arthur Murray experience … I love working here because I believe the positive atmosphere is truly soothing for the soul. It is a very warm & welcoming environment and the instructors & students are always happy.

As part of  the Student Relations Team & Administrative Assistant for Arthur Murray, Nicky is one of the very first people to greet new students. Nicky’s message to the new students is; “Everybody, at some point, has had their first dance lesson, but here at Arthur Murray our entire team & students will make you feel like part of the family as soon as you walk through the door!”

Nicky’s favorite part of her job is meeting new people. She has a background in Management and is finding Arthur Murray a natural fit. “Your experience at Arthur Murray is of the utmost important priority to us”.
